DüsseldorfBikeCard

The DüsseldorfBikeCard includes a hire bike. A limited number of bicycles are available for the card. Bikes can be collected and returned at our co-operation partner Radstation am Hauptbahnhof. You can find all the information about bike hire in the questions below. 

The DüsseldorfBikeCard is a day ticket, i.e. the bike can be picked up and returned on the same day during the opening hours of the Radstation Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof. 

You can buy the card conveniently online at any time. It is also available at the Tourist Information - Visit Düsseldorf in the Altstadt, Rheinstraße 3. 

You can get the bikes at the bike station at Düsseldorf main station, exit Bertha-von-Suttner-Platz and then keep right. Here you must identify yourself and conclude a contract with the bike station under the conditions of the DüsseldorfBikeCard, which also regulates liability issues etc. A deposit of currently €50 must be paid for the bike.

November to February the bike station is closed at weekends.

You are welcome to use alternatives if they are in stock. The additional charge for a pedelec (e-bike) is 13 euros per day, for a tandem 7 euros. A tandem can be rented with two DüsseldorfBikeCards. Please enquire in good time at the bike station at Düsseldorf Central Station to find out whether the bikes are available.  

You can hire helmets for €2.50 per day at the bike station at Düsseldorf main station, provided there are any available on the day. Please enquire in advance.  

Yes, all bicycles at the bike station at Düsseldorf main station are rented out with a frame lock and also with chain locks. You will receive information on site on how to lock the bike securely.

The rental bikes are equipped with high-quality tyres that are fitted with so-called puncture protection. Should you nevertheless get a puncture, the bike station will endeavour to help you out. Please contact the service centre at Düsseldorf main station.

If the bike is returned after the hire period has expired, the hire period will be extended by a further day. Please contact the bike station at Düsseldorf main station immediately to discuss how to proceed, and all bikes will be returned with a lock and instructions on how to lock them correctly. Damage and theft must be reported immediately. 

Either write us a short e-mail ([email protected]) or give us a call (+49 211 17 202854) and we will be happy to send you the DüsseldorfCard again.

Unfortunately this is not possible, the discounts always refer to the normal price.

As the DüsseldorfCard is personal and non-transferable, the participant names are mandatory when booking. 

No, the DüsseldorfBikeCard is personal and therefore non-transferable. The name cannot be changed after booking.

No changes are possible after payment.
