Doppelgänger: Shadows of the self. In her programme with this title, Svetlana Andreeva embarks on a search for the self in music.
It should be said at the outset that she has long since found her (artistic) self - as evidenced not least by her brilliant victory at the Concours international de piano d'Orléans 2024. The competition is dedicated entirely to music of the 20th and 21st centuries - a home game for the Ukrainian, who is a passionate interpreter of contemporary works and studied composition as well as piano. In her programme, Svetlana Andreeva focuses almost exclusively on repertoire from the early 20th century: with Leoš Janáček, she feels her way through the mists of his cycle of the same name, takes a look behind Karol Szymanowksi's masks and experiences hell and redemption in Alexander Scriabin's "black" and "white" masses. An exciting musical journey to the limits of consciousness.
