The production "Glaube, Liebe, Fußball" combines legendary moments in soccer history with fan chants, choreography and typical scenes in the stands of a stadium to create a theatrical spectacle that is not only aimed at soccer fans.
Directors Peter Jordan and Leonhard Koppelmann deliberately focus on the fans' perspective, as they embody the soul of the sport, with actors from the D'haus ensemble and students from the Düsseldorf drama studio on the pitch together with soccer and theater enthusiasts of all generations. The plot is an imaginary soccer match from the teams' run-in to the award ceremony - mirrored by the passionate reactions of the fans, accompanied by two crazy live commentators and a maximum of competent experts on the sidelines. The stage set represents the grandstand of an arena, complete with announcer's booth and video wall for iconic moments in EURO history. This brings together the best of the worlds of theater and soccer: Emotions, surprising twists and turns and strong characters. The result: an entertaining theater experience with a stadium atmosphere for everyone. (Source: Schauspielhaus)
