Event as part of the Art:walk Festival
The selfie area "Pause on the construction site" in the Hetjens Museum offers a humorous backdrop for special souvenir photos. Embedded in the motto "Under Construction", the museum visit becomes a playful stopover with a view of the festival events.
As part of the Art:walk festival, the Hetjens Museum invites visitors to take an unusual break with the selfie area "Pause on the building site". In front of a humorously staged construction site backdrop, a place is created where the museum visitor can pause for a moment - not as silent contemplation, but as a playful change of perspective. The selfie area is part of the festival motto "Hetjens - Under Construction", which deliberately stages the museum as a place undergoing change. Between classic exhibition spaces, new access points open up that actively involve the public. The photographic staging picks up on the aesthetics of the construction site and combines it with a tongue-in-cheek look at change, construction and process. A varied programme unfolds around the selfie area: An open stage is created in the ballroom, where spontaneous contributions and musical moments are possible, while a construction site shop and a DIY station offer creative additions in the entrance area. In this way, the selfie area fits into an overall programme that combines design, performance and encounters. (Source: Art:walk Festival)
