Event as part of the Art:walk Festival
The House of Parliamentary History NRW invites you to an individual tour. In the Villa Horion, guides provide insights into the history of the NRW state parliament.
As part of the Art:walk Festival, the Haus der Geschichte Nordrhein-Westfalen Foundation provides open access to the political history of the state. Individual exhibition visits are possible in the House of Parliamentary History, accompanied by guides who are available for discussions and questions. The exhibition traces the development of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia from 1946 to the present day. It shows the political beginnings of the federal state, central phases of democratic development as well as key people, events and decisions that have shaped the parliamentary system in NRW. The guides invite visitors to take a closer look at individual aspects of the exhibition, establish links to the present and discuss different perspectives on democracy and parliamentary processes. The result is not a fixed tour, but a flexible format that leaves room for individual interests. (Source: Art:walk Festival)
