For a detailed list of the matches that will be shown in the Fan Zones and at the public viewing events during EURO 2024 in Düsseldorf, please see here.
For those planning to visit the Fan Zone at Burgplatz, the Fan Zone at Schauspielhaus, or the Public Viewing at Rheinufer, there are several parking options available. However, it is generally recommended to use public transport, as parking spaces can quickly fill up during major events.
Fan Zone at Burgplatz:
- Q-Park Car Parks: Nearby options include Q-Park Stadtmitte (formerly Karstadt), Q-Park Apollo, and Q-Park Carsch-Haus. These are within walking distance and offer secure parking facilities.
- Contipark Rheinufertunnel: This underground car park is just 287 metres from Burgplatz and provides a convenient parking option.
Fan Zone at Schauspielhaus:
- APCOA Car Park at Gustaf-Gründgens-Platz: Located directly at the Schauspielhaus, offering easy access to the event.
- Q-Park KÖ59 and Q-Park Stilwerk: Additional nearby car parks that are easily accessible.
Public Viewing at Rheinufer:
- Altstadt Rheinufer Underground Car Park: Located directly at the Rheinufertunnel with 964 parking spaces, ideal for visitors to the Public Viewing at Rheinufer.
- Contipark Rheinufertunnel: Another option with easy access to the riverside promenade.
Additional Note: Consider using Park-and-Ride (P+R) facilities such as P+R Heerdter Krankenhaus or P+R Südpark to park outside the city centre and travel into the city by public transport. This is often a stress-free and cost-effective alternative.
Both the Burgplatz and Schauspielhaus Fan Zones, along with the Public Viewing at the Rheinufer, are accessible without barriers. The Burgplatz is largely covered with cobblestones, while the surface at the Rheinufer is asphalt. The Schauspielhaus Fan Zone also features a flat surface. At Burgplatz and along the Rhine promenade, there are accessible platforms to ensure a good view. However, it should be noted that spaces are very limited. Especially for evening games, a large crowd is to be expected. In addition, sign language interpreters are provided on match days when the German national team is playing and on days when games take place in Düsseldorf. Furthermore, volunteers are on site to offer additional assistance as needed.
Seating options in the Fan Zones for EURO 2024 in Düsseldorf are very limited. There are a few seats available in the VIP area at Burgplatz and on the tribune at Schauspielhaus. However, these seats are very scarce, and it is likely that most guests will need to stand. There are no seating options available at the Public Viewing area by the Rhine. We recommend arriving early to secure a good standing spot and to fully enjoy the event.
