Beautiful beer gardens in Düsseldorf
We'll show you where it's good to stay
Summertime is beer garden time. Whether as a destination for a bike tour or a cozy get-together with friends - Düsseldorf's beer gardens invite you to enjoy cool drinks and relaxing moments in the open air.
Burghof Gallery
The Burghof in Kaiserswerth is one of the city's most popular beer gardens. Located right next to the old imperial palace, it offers its guests a fantastic view of the Rhine. And it is also easy to reach via the river: For example, by boat on the Weisse Flotte from the old town, or by ferry from Meerbusch on the left bank of the Rhine.
Hammer view
A little away from the hustle and bustle of the city center, the Hammer Blick beer garden is located directly on the Rhine. Freshly prepared food and cool drinks can be enjoyed under shady trees on classic beer tent furniture. It is an excellent destination or stopover for cycling tours.
Rhine view 33
A classic among Düsseldorf's beer gardens and easy to reach on foot from the old town is the "Rheinblick 33" right next to the Rheinterrasse. In the shade of old trees and with a light breeze from the river, it's a great place to spend time even at the height of summer.
Four lime trees
It is an insider tip in Südpark: the Vier Linden beer garden is located in the inner courtyard of the Akki-Haus. It is set up on weekdays (except Mondays) from the early evening and offers a changing program of films, comedy and concerts. A barbecue is available for self-brought food, drinks can be bought on site.
Lovingly at the Auermühle
Although it is not part of Düsseldorf, the Auermühle should not be forgotten when naming the most beautiful beer gardens. Situated on the small Anger river, surrounded by woodland in Ratingen, the mill, which was first mentioned in the 17th century, treats its guests to seasonal dishes as well as a barbecue and pizza station.
