Alle Rhein! – Flockey Ocscor, dancer & organiser of the ‘Sessions’ at the Schauspielhaus

The podcast hosted by Mike Litt

“Dance is the most wonderful medicine. It brings people together.”

Our guest on ‘Alle Rhein!’ is a man of many talents, Flockey Ocscor. As a dancer, he and his crew have twice been runners-up in the ‘locking’ category at the Juste Debout world finals in Paris. Flockey has been teaching dance at Tanzhaus NRW since he was 17 and also makes music. He returned to the Düsseldorf Schauspielhaus in December 2022 with his Sessions series, bringing artists from all disciplines together for live performances. An all-round talent, Flockey has made a name for himself internationally and even the legendary Erykah Badu has him on her radar. So it’s high time to get to know the man. Mike Litt met up with Flockey at the Schauspielhaus for ‘Alle Rhein!’ In the podcast, Flockey tells us what brought him from the Congo to Düsseldorf via the south of Germany. That Volksgarten park is his favourite place. And how Takao Baba inspired him.
