All on the Rhine! - With the star chefs Lukas Jakobi and Jörg Wissmann

The podcast with Mike Litt

“Ultimately, it’s all about authenticity!”  (Lukas Jakobi)

The Alle Rhein! podcast talks to recent award-winning chefs Lukas Jakobi and Jörg Wissmann. Düsseldorf's restaurant scene is celebrating two new Michelin stars, awarded to newcomer Lukas Jakobi of Zwanzig23 and Jörg Wissmann of Jae. What they both have in common is that they create their culinary visions in front of a small audience. Vibrant, unconventional and there for all to see. Jörg Wissmann showcases his interpretation of Asian-European fine dining at his restaurant, Jae, while Lukas Jakobi offers two menus – vegan and non-vegan – of distinctive cuisine with an edge.

Jakobi and Wissmann tell our host, Mike Litt, how the pandemic motivated them to realise their dreams, and about their long-standing friendship and mutual respect. The Alle Rhein! podcast also reveals how Düsseldorf became Wissmann’s home and why Jakobi has a tattoo of the Rhine Tower.
