Alle Rhein! – with Martina Voss-Tecklenburg, footballing legend
The podcast with Mike Litt
"We want to emphasize that we as the city of Düsseldorf, as the people of Düsseldorf, are fully behind this European Championship."
It's a beautiful early summer's day in May when Mike Litt meets legendary soccer coach Martina Voss-Tecklenburg at the Paul Janes Stadium in Flingern. MVT, as she is sometimes called, is one of three ambassadors for the host city of Düsseldorf for UEFA EURO 2024. She has won almost everything possible in sport. During her time as an active player, she became German champion, cup winner and European champion several times with her clubs. As coach of the Swiss women's team, she won the World Cup title with her team in 2015. She was national coach of the German national team until the end of 2023. In the podcast, she talks enthusiastically about Düsseldorf, the "Rhine Walk", which leads from the old town to the Arena Düsseldorf, and takes a stand on the topic of mental health in competitive sport.

In episode 46, Mike talks to Martina Voss-Tecklenburg, EURO ambassador for Host City Düsseldorf and, of course, former national coach of the German women's national team.
