Located in the Hofgärtnerhaus, the Theater Museum sheds light on Düsseldorf's theater life and offers space for exhibitions, performances and artist talks.
The show is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Schauspielhaus, which is just a few steps away. Our digital 3D tour allows you to visit.
The exhibition "Fifty. From the Düsseldorf Schauspielhaus to the D'haus" documents not only the history of the sculptural building, which was designed by Bernhard Pfau, but also the development of its artistic signature. Here, Shakespeare's "Summer Night Room" comes into focus, which made it onto the stage seven times in the five decades. The children's and youth theater section presents itself through theater material from performances in which animals are at the center of the action, for example in the "Jungle Book" staged by Robert Wilson.
