Culinary online experiences in the lockdown

Six tips for shared moments of enjoyment via livestream

The pandemic still has us in its grip, pubs and bars remain closed. But enjoyment and conviviality don't necessarily have to fall by the wayside. In online formats, you can learn from Düsseldorf professionals and connoisseurs and taste chocolate together with them, sample exotic beer or cook new recipes.

Live cooking with Dennis Gasper

His profession is his passion. On his way to becoming a master chef, Dennis Gasper has already wielded the wooden spoon in some of the world's kitchens. Now he invites people to the "longest dining table in the world," as he calls his online cooking courses. He offers courses on a variety of topics, including meat, pasta, fish, Asia, the Orient and Düsseldorf's heartfelt cuisine.

Wine-Tasting

You think you've tasted almost everything in the world of wine? Mrs. anderweinig wouldn't be Mrs. anderweinig if she couldn't convince you otherwise. For the online tasting, you will receive three bottles of wine from different countries, which you can taste with like-minded people via Zoom.

Chocolate world tour

Even the ancient Maya loved chocolate. Jürgen Bluhm doesn't know how the cacao tree found its way from South to Central America hundreds of years ago, but the owner of Soirée Chocolat knows a thing or two about chocolate. During his online tasting, you will learn about the countries of origin of the cocoa bean and taste original chocolates from three continents, whose quality, by the way, is largely in the hands of the cocoa farmers.

Lettinis a Casa

Anyone who has ever been to Stefania Lettini's delicatessen knows how much passion the native Roman brings dolce vita to Düsseldorf. She herself describes her store as an "oasis for Italian moments of pleasure". To keep it that way, she regularly searches her homeland for special and authentic products. Want a taste? Stefania sends out enjoyment boxes with wine, antipasti and other snacks, which she presents in a live tasting on YouTube.

CookTurkish

It's clear that Turkish food is more than just kebabs and köfte. But how do you prepare traditional specialties like at home? The KochDichTürkisch team reveals family recipes and supports you live in your kitchen. Via streaming. During the "supervised cooking" you can ask questions and exchange ideas with other participants - just like at a cooking class on site.

Round trip through the craft beer world

How can you keep track of the 300 or so craft beers available at the Holy Craft Beer Store? Sebastian Knepper and Thorsten Kulmann certainly know their way around their craft-brewed and regularly changing range. Via Zoom, they introduce you to six beers of different styles. You can pick up the six-pack in the store or have it delivered.
