Many people are becoming increasingly aware of the need to use our resources responsibly. More and more designers and manufacturers of clothing, accessories and care products are also paying attention to fair and sustainable production. We looked around Düsseldorf for concept stores where you can find "green" fashion and more.

Favorite products and gift ideas

Recycled, reusable, durable or resource-saving - every item in the lifestyle-oriented family concept store qnOOtsch has at least one characteristic that identifies it as sustainable. The story behind the products is also important to owners Rebecca and Christian. They know the makers and people behind almost all of the 100 or so brands they stock.

Eco fashion, accessories & lifestyle products

Whether casual street style, urban chic or elegant outfits - at YAVANA you will find environmentally conscious and fair trade organic fashion. Many of the items are made from natural materials and are of high quality. The fact that owner Margarete Riemer does everything right with her careful selection of labels is demonstrated by the FA!R Retail Award 2014.

"Everyone can contribute a little to keeping the world a good place to live in," says Daniela Perak, who has been selling fair fashion and pretty little things in her roberta. boutique in a courtyard on Nordstraße since 2016 . Daniela attaches great importance to the quality of the materials. That's why you're sure to find great favorites that will stay with you for a long time from her labels such as Armedangels, Embassy of bricks & logs and Thought.

From streetwear to officewear

Founded in Cologne, the green guerillas store has also had a branch on Ackerstraße in Flingern since 2016. Here you can find green and fairly produced fashion from around 25 local and international labels such as Evermind, KnowledgeCotton Apparel and Veja. The carefully selected range consists mainly of natural fibers, environmentally friendly regenerated fibers made from renewable raw materials or recycled materials.   

Upcycling bags and urban shirts

Do you love something special? Soulgoods Düsseldorf does too. That's why you'll find plenty of unique items from sustainable and fair manufacturers in the store on Nordstraße. Here you can have textiles printed with your own designs or choose an unusual bag from Zirkeltraining or Feuerwear®, which in its former life was once a gym mat or a fire hose. There is also urban fashion and shoes.

Limited edition message shirts

Marion Kanka describes herself as authentic and cosmopolitan. These qualities make her a perfect fit for the fashion industry, where she initially worked as a designer and creative director. And finally founded her own fashion line: BE.ZIRK null zwei. In her concept store in Flingern, she mainly sells her own vegan shirts with eye-catching prints alongside a few third-party labels.
