A very special cultural venue in the city of Düsseldorf was created in a former nail factory in the 1970s. The ZAKK - a cultural center that was created with the spirit of the alternative scene of the time - has long been one of the most interesting and multifaceted locations in Germany. It is the only place in Düsseldorf where Rocko Schamoni, Katrin Bauerfeind or Max Goldt come to give readings and where you can see Maximo Park, Idles or Thees Uhlmann & Band live.

Miguel Passarge has been the musical director of the ZAKK for almost two decades and created a happening with the "Lieblingsplatte" festival. Music enthusiasts from all over the world have traveled to Düsseldorf to experience Element of Crime, Blumfeld, Mouse on Mars, The Notwist and Die Fehlfarben perform their personal favorite albums exclusively at ZAKK. This year, the festival cannot take place as usual, but it will take place!

Listen to our episode "Alle Rhein" with Miguel Passarge" to find out what online events can be expected in December 2020. And what special significance the ZAKK continues to have for established artists such as Die Toten Hosen and why the surroundings in Düsseldorf-Flingern are also worth a stroll!
