Beuys & Neuss

Just outside of Neuss, the Museum Island Hombroich is located in an idyllic floodplain landscape. To explore the site and its artworks, we leave the bike behind and take a special walk past the pavilions of sculptor Erwin Heerich, watercourses and floodplain meadows. Beuys' master student and longtime companion Anatol Herzfeld is also present on Museum Island. Many of his artworks were created in his studio on Museum Island.
