The Akris brand is the Swiss answer to the big French and Italian fashion houses, not quite as prominent perhaps, but no less exclusive. Founded in 1922 by Alice Kriemler-Schoch in St. Gallen, the family business is now in its third generation and carries on the rich textile heritage of its homeland. Today, grandson Albert Kriemler designs the high-quality women's fashion, whose understatement is appreciated by customers such as Angelina Jolie and Caroline of Monaco.
