Rhine funfair in Düsseldorf
From 17 to 26 July 2026, the left bank of the Rhine in Düsseldorf was once again transformed into a vast funfair landscape. The largest funfair on the Rhine invites visitors to enjoy ten days packed with fairground rides, lights and views of the Rhine. As is traditional, visitors can look forward to numerous fairground operators from Germany and abroad offering a varied programme for the whole family – from classic attractions to modern rides. The Rheinkirmes is also closely linked to the city’s shooting club tradition: the St. Sebastianus Shooting Club, which is over 700 years old, celebrates the name day of its patron saint, St. Apollinaris, on 23 July together with more than 1,500 members.

Biggest funfair on the Rhine
From 16 to 25 July 2027, the large funfair town will once again be set up at its picturesque location on the Oberkassel Rhine meadows. On the 165,000 square metre fairground, fairground operators from Germany and abroad will present a wide selection of rides, guaranteeing fun for the whole family. The highlight is the fireworks display on the final Friday of the fair (23 July 2027, around 10.30 pm). Admission is free.
The fireworks will take place on Friday, 23.07.2027 at approx. 22:30.
The drone shows will take place on Tuesday, 20.07.2027 and on Friday, 23.07.2027 at approx. 22:15. The best view of the show is from the Rhine funfair, from the opposite bank of the Rhine and from the Rhine bridges.
