Behind the concept are shopfitting experts Karl and Klaus Schwitzke, who have fulfilled a dream with their own shop. The brothers are convinced that bicycles and e-bikes are the urban means of transport of the future. And so they have a range of particularly beautiful two-wheelers in their programme at Awsum. These range from handmade bikes from small manufacturers, high-priced branded or folding bikes to e-bikes and cargo bikes. The purist and extremely lightweight single-speed e-bikes from the Awsum own brand or the bicycles from the German manufacturer Schindelhauer, for example, are very popular and succeed in combining good design and robust practicality. For the architects, who travel all over the world advising, planning and building, it is a matter of honour that the homely corner shop at the junction of Hermannstraße and Ackerstraße is worth a visit in itself. After all, they can score points here with their decades of expertise. The range is complemented by accessories such as head protection, cycle clothing, cycle covers and cycle bags.
