With the self-image of a non-profit association, the project space focuses on the needs of young and contemporary art production, offers a platform to try out works in the space and invites experimentation. Baustelle Schaustelle does not provide a budget for an exhibition.
As this is the first exhibition outside the university context for most artists, working with Baustelle Schaustelle is a challenge. At the same time, the space for young art offers the opportunity to make important first contacts with an interested audience. Some of the artists that Baustelle Schaustelle e.V. has been able to accompany on their journey over the last ten years are now internationally recognized.
