Elbroichpark, formerly known as Heye-Park, is one of the smaller parks in Düsseldorf with an area of around fourteen hectares, but is one of the most beautiful and interesting due to its design and species-rich stock of old trees.
The design with gentle valleys, slight hills and extensive plains can be traced back to the former course of the Itter from Benrath via Holthausen through Elbroichpark with a moated castle to Itter. But it is only through the judicious selection and arrangement of the trees that the park reveals its impressive beauty.
