Golzheim cemetery

Together with the Old Cemetery in Bonn and the Melaten Cemetery in Cologne, it is one of the most important historical cemeteries in North Rhine-Westphalia. The cemetery has been a listed building since 1982.

As in many other larger cities, the churchyard at the collegiate church of St. Lambertus in the old town was closed in the second half of the 18th century due to overcrowding and hygienically unsustainable conditions.
