The forest covers an area of around 100 hectares and offers a wide range of leisure activities for nature and hiking enthusiasts. It is known for its varied landscape, which ranges from dense forests to open meadows and small streams.
Particularly noteworthy are the numerous hiking, cycling and riding trails that lead through the Grafenberg Forest. These are well signposted and offer suitable routes for beginners as well as experienced hikers, cyclists and horse riders.
One highlight is the Grafenberg Wildlife Park. Here, visitors can observe native animal species such as deer, wild boar and various bird species.
An insider tip is the viewing point just a short walk from Staufenplatz. From here you have an impressive view over Düsseldorf and the surrounding area. The Grafenberg Forest is also an ideal place for family outings. In addition to the wildlife park, there are several playgrounds and picnic areas that invite you to linger.
