imai – inter media art institute

The Julia Stoschek Collection and the imai Institute, founded in 2006, which has set itself the task of distributing, preserving and communicating audiovisual art, and it is the only institution of its kind in Germany. The videolounge of the imai is in the NRW-Forum, The collection of around 1000 artistic and documentary valuable works are located there. They are shown in regular exhibitions, but on request, the imai also opens its archives. Whoever wants to rummage around: The works can be reproduced on the internet for free and in full length via the imai online catalogue.
