The Christmas market will be closed on Sunday, 26 November and on Christmas Day (Sunday, 25 December).
The huts of the Sternchen Market will not be set up this year due to construction work. As in previous years, the huts of the Engel Market will be located on Königsallee.
There are several Christmas markets in the city centre.
We recommend you travel to the Christmas market by public transport. A good address to use is the Heinrich-Heine-Allee underground train station as it is centrally located.
Visit www.rheinbahn.com for all your travel information. There is a Park & Ride KombiTicket from Düsseldorf Airport. Parking lot P13 is just a four-minute walk from the subway stop “Lohausen”. This also includes the ride on the Rheinbahn to the Christmas market in Düsseldorf's Old Town.
If you are travelling by car, convenient places to park include Tiefgarage am Rheinufer (underground), Parkhaus an der Schadowstraße and Carlsplatz.

This measure is not only aimed for preserving the environment but also to contribute to create a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere on the areas.
The Christmas City Map lists all the huts at the various Christmas markets, including location maps. It can be downloaded from our brochure page and will be available free of charge from the weekend of 2 and 3 December at our Tourist Information Office (Rheinstraße 3).
