LWL-Museum Zeche Zollern

The machine hall with its colourfully glazed Art Nouveau portal is considered an icon of industrial culture. Thanks to it, the entire complex was saved from demolition in the 1960s and industrial buildings were recognised as monuments. Exhibitions in the various buildings tell of the history and working world of the miners and show how an underground working world functioned.
