Today, the Schumann House in Düsseldorf is the only surviving home of the famous musical family in a historic building, and the newly opened Schumann House houses a modern music museum and thus a living memorial to the musical couple. In addition to numerous valuable originals, media stations and installations are also on display in eight exhibition rooms. The museum also houses rarely exhibited objects from the city's music collection, which is one of the most important Schumann collections in the world.
