Düsseldorf in the run-up to Christmas - it smells of roasted almonds and Christmas spices. This year, the Christmas market opens its doors from 20 November to 30 December 2025.
Many fans have been coming to Düsseldorf for years to buy presents for their loved ones and visit the Christmas market. Anyone strolling through the markets will always be surprised by the original design of the huts and the wide range of products on offer. In Düsseldorf, everything is just a mulled wine away - large shopping streets, the lively old town, internationally renowned museums and the Christmas markets are all within walking distance.
There are special opening hours for the Christmas market on the following days: On Christmas Eve (Wednesday, December 24) it is open from 11 am to 3 pm and on Boxing Day (Friday, December 26) from 2 pm to 9 pm. The Christmas market will be closed on November 23rd (Sunday of the Dead) and Christmas Day (Thursday, December 25th).
