Foreigner: 50th Anniversary Arena Tour 2027
Having sold 45,000 tickets and played to sold-out open-air venues across Germany in the summer of 2026, Foreigner will return to the country’s largest indoor arenas in October 2027 with their 50th Anniversary Arena Tour – featuring Europe as special guests.
The tour is a direct follow-up to the sold-out open-air tour marking the band’s anniversary and marks the first time this line-up has played at the country’s biggest indoor venues. Swedish rock icons Europe will be appearing as special guests – a combination that brings together two of the most enduring chapters in classic rock on one stage.
Inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2024, Foreigner represent one of the most enduring repertoires in rock history: 10 multi-platinum albums, 16 Top 30 hits and over 80 million records sold worldwide (source: Nielsen SoundScan). Songs such as ‘Cold As Ice’, ‘Jukebox Hero’, ‘Urgent’ and ‘I Want To Know What Love Is’ – the latter recently joining the Spotify Billions Club – are an integral part of the international classic rock canon.
The current line-up features frontman Luis Maldonado, who took over lead vocals in autumn 2025 following Kelly Hansen’s departure, alongside Jeff Pilson (bass), Michael Bluestein (keyboards), Bruce Watson (guitar), Chris Frazier (drums) and John Roth (guitar), continues the tour with a setlist ranging from the early hits of the 1970s to the legendary album 4 – which spent longer at number one on the Billboard charts than any other album in the history of Atlantic Records. The band’s enduring relevance is evidenced by recent placements in series such as Stranger Things, Wednesday and Euphoria, as well as in films such as Happy Gilmore 2.
Europe will be supporting the tour – a combination with real clout. Formed in Upplands Väsby in 1979, the Swedish band led by frontman Joey Tempest boasts one of the most played rock tracks of all time in The Final Countdown (1986) and will be performing with its original line-up: Tempest (vocals), John Norum (guitar), John Levén (bass), Mic Michaeli (keyboards) and Ian Haugland (drums). For the Arena Tour 2027, Europe will be bringing not only their classics but also their new studio album Come This Madness, due for release at the end of September 2026.
The Foreigner and Europe package will perform in Germany’s seven largest indoor arenas – venues that provide a fitting setting for both bands’ line-ups, both in terms of production and reach. The switch from open-air to arena venues follows the sell-out of the entire 2026 tour and responds to demand that exceeded the originally planned summer shows. (Source: handwerker promotion e. gmbh)
