The Akademie-Galerie is back from its summer break with some fresh ideas. Ahead of the major opening exhibition in spring 2027, we invite you to join us in exploring what an Akademie-Galerie can be:
A vibrant place where the history of our academy’s collection meets the art of today – and the people of this city. Through smaller exhibitions, events and workshops – a sort of ‘warm-up’, so to speak – lecturers and students, experts and the public come together to exchange views on art and its place in the present day.
Carte Blanche – guests choose a favourite work from the collection and invite someone to discuss it.
Substance can be showcased – works by the teaching staff from the art workshops at the Düsseldorf Art Academy are presented at varying intervals.
