The elegantly furnished bar in the Künstlerverein Malkasten building is bathed in intense Yves Klein blue. None other than Rosemarie Trockel, artist and professor at the Düsseldorf Art Academy, is responsible for the expressive interiors of the neighbouring restaurant. She also designed the 400 square metre carpet, which extends from the dining room to the bar and makes the threshold between the two rooms visually disappear. Whether an aperitif, digestif or simply a cocktail without dinner: in this colourful ambience, the exquisite mixed drinks taste even better and half the night is quickly over with conversations about art and culture in convivial company.
