Since 2016, the impressive Dome of Lights has been illuminating Düsseldorf's Königsallee in the run-up to Christmas and delighting visitors from near and far. Weeks before the official opening, a team of around 50 people begin the elaborate preparations. The cathedral, decorated with 3,500 lights and up to 15 meters high, bathes the entire area in atmospheric light. Especially in the evening hours, the Dome of Lights unfolds its full splendor and creates a festive Christmas atmosphere - a magical sight that sets a unique stage for the Düsseldorf Christmas market and the wintry Kö.
