KIT - Kunst im Tunnel (Art in the tunnel)
A spectacular place for an unusual idea. The KIT Museum, acronym for art in the tunnel, is located under the Düsseldorf Rhine embankment promenade - in a room that lies between the tunnels for traffic.
Beschreibung
Below concrete walls, young contemporary art is exhibited, more specifically sculptures, paintings, photography, video and installation art, while upstairs the flaneurs enjoy the Rhine panorama. However, one thing does not exclude the other: The entrance to the gallery is a glazed pavilion - it houses the KIT Café and is one of the finest gastronomic places to go on the river. Therefore, before and after the enjoyment of art, the view of the left bank of the Rhine can be fully enjoyed with coffee or wine.
