In the Takagi book shop in Immermannstraße, you can try something out on yourself: to feel as though you are illiterate. The extensive book shop is filled to the ceiling with Japanese literature, textbooks, illustrated books, films and magazines.
Only in one corner is there some orientation for those who can not interpret Japanese characters. There, the shelf contains books, guidebooks and novels about the land of the rising sun in Latin script - written in English or German. However, you can get by without words: Fans of cute stationery and friends of manga and cosplay gadgets will also get their money's worth at Takagi.
