The K20 at Düsseldorf's Grabbeplatz shows not only high quality behind its black granite façade. Since the museum extension in 2009, a 180 square metre mural adorns the newly designed Paul Klee Square.

“Hornet” is the work of the artist Sarah Morris. Made of coloured glazed tiles, it refers to the movement of an insect that builds honeycomb-like structures in its nest. Following the Asian origami technique, Morris developed an overall image of surfaces and geometric figures at the interface between abstract modern art and contemporary graphic design. The colours are particularly beautiful in the evening.
