There is something truly mesmerising about watching Irina Titova as the sand trickles delicately through her hands and magically comes together to form genuine works of art.
Irina Titova studied art in Moscow and, after graduating from the Pedagogical University, worked with autistic children. It was whilst doing this work that she discovered the unique and rare art of sand painting.
Irina Titova is now one of the world’s finest sand artists – very few have mastered this impressive art to such a high standard. Irina Titova is celebrated around the world for her emotional and fascinating sand performances. We have planned the evening as a dialogue between the arts: at the organ, Hans-André Stamm tells musical stories, whilst Irina Titova whisks you away into a dream world of ephemeral sand images.
