Every Sunday since 1991, the Dominicans of Düsseldorf have been hosting an organ concert at St Andrew’s Church. Renowned organists from Germany and abroad have already performed there.
Klaus Wallrath completed his studies in Catholic church music and piano at the Robert Schumann University of Music in Düsseldorf. From 1987 to 2025, he served as church musician at St Margaret’s Basilica in Düsseldorf-Gerresheim. He is active as a composer, arranger and chamber musician, and for several years held a post as a lecturer in choral conducting at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. In 2014, he was appointed Music Director of the ACV and was awarded the prestigious Orlando di Lasso Medal in 2026.
As a concert flautist, Klaus-Peter Riemer performs nationally and internationally in highly prestigious concert halls. He began lecturing at the Rhineland University of Music in Cologne, Wuppertal department, at an early stage. He gained extensive orchestral experience with the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra, the Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne and the Bach-Verein Orchestra Bonn. Klaus-Peter Riemer performs in the traditional French flute style following the methods of M. Moyse and A. Jaunet. He has now released over 25 CD and LP recordings.
