Every Sunday since 1991, the Dominicans of Düsseldorf have been hosting an organ concert at St Andrew’s Church. Renowned organists from Germany and abroad have already performed there.
Chiara Perneker studied church music at the Lübeck University of Music under Franz Danksagmüller and Johannes Knecht. Since April 2025, she has been continuing her studies at the Hamburg University of Music and Theatre (HfMT) under Wolfgang Zerer, Jan Ernst and Annedore Hacker-Jakobi. She has attended masterclasses with, amongst others, Harald Vogel, Daniel Roth and Tomasz A. Nowak. In 2024, she was awarded the Encouragement Prize at the 10th Hermann Schroeder Competition. As part of the IKN (Improvisation, Composition and New Media) study programme, she also wrote compositions and developed improvisational concepts. Since the 2024/25 winter semester, she has been the director of the Lübeck University Choirs. Chiara Perneker is a Cusanus-Werk scholarship holder. (Source: Dominican Monastery/IDO Festival)
