Every Sunday since 1991, the Dominicans of Düsseldorf have been hosting an organ concert at St Andrew’s Church. Renowned organists from Germany and abroad have already performed there.
The Dutch organist Steven Knieriem is a church musician in The Hague and an organ fellow at St Peter and Paul’s in Ratingen. He studied with Ben van Oosten, Zuzana Ferjenčiková and Christian Schmitt. He has attended masterclasses with, amongst others, Olivier Latry, Louis Robilliard and Sietze de Vries. He is also a prize-winner at renowned organ competitions, including those at St Bavo in Haarlem and St Albans in London. Concerts have taken him throughout Western Europe and the USA, where he performs as a soloist, with symphony orchestras and as a continuo player.
