Every Sunday since 1991, the Dominicans of Düsseldorf have been hosting an organ concert at St Andrew’s Church. Renowned organists from Germany and abroad have already performed there.
Cheng Zhong, who is just 17 years old, is currently studying at the Dijon Conservatoire, where he began his musical training at the age of five. He initially studied in Sylvain Pluyaut’s organ class and has been studying with Frédéric Mayeur since 2022. Cheng Zhong performs regularly at Dijon Cathedral and at many other venues across France, such as in Épinal or at Langres Cathedral.
His passion for the organ has already taken him to many significant instruments across Europe, including the renowned Arp Schnitger organ at the Martinikerk in Groningen. Furthermore, since 2023, Cheng Zhong has been studying conducting with Flavien Boy, which has become an integral part of his training. (Source: Dominican Monastery/IDO Festival)
