Gianluca Libertucci, a Roman, is the organist at St Peter’s Basilica, the Papal Audiences and the Swiss Guard Chapel. He trained at the Rome Conservatoire under Luigi Celeghin and attended masterclasses with, amongst others, Michael Radulescu and Ludger Lohmann.
Until 2022, he held a professorship at the Venice Conservatoire; since then, he has been teaching in Frosinone. An extensive concert career has taken him throughout Europe and the USA. He regularly collaborates with leading orchestras. In 2019, he was awarded the ‘Gold Medal International Award’ by La Sapienza University in Rome for outstanding artistic and pedagogical achievements. (Source: IDO Festival)
