Vive la France! In honour of our neighbouring country, the state capital will once again be celebrating France’s national holiday in 2027: the Düsseldorf France Festival is the largest of its kind in Germany and attracts around 100,000 Francophile visitors to the city.
Three days of bleu, blanc and rouge – three days when you can experience French flair first-hand on the banks of the Rhine: “La grande fête française”, Düsseldorf’s France Festival, has been held regularly once a year since 2001 and is characterised by culinary delights for Francophiles and an exceptionally colourful cultural programme.
Amazed spectators, admiring glances and plenty of shop-talk – alongside the France Festival, Burgplatz will once again be filled this year with around 150 French classic cars, which will set off from there for the traditional “Tour de Düsseldorf” rally through Düsseldorf and the surrounding towns. And this year, too, the inner courtyard of Düsseldorf Town Hall will not only be a wonderful place to feast, but also to enjoy a varied music programme featuring well-known French acts. Here’s to the French way of life.
The Düsseldorf France Festival is organised and hosted by Destination Düsseldorf (DD), alongside numerous other events. The organisation is involved in cultural, sporting and tourism-related matters as well as economic policy issues. (Source: Destination Düsseldorf / Visit Düsseldorf)
