When the violinist Mihalj Kekenj – also known as MIKI – isn’t busy with his main job as concertmaster of the Bergische Symphoniker, this creative mind devotes himself to his second passion and develops extraordinary fusion projects.
His hit series “Takeover!” brings together his classically trained ensemble with leading figures from the German rock, pop, soul and hip-hop scenes, presenting their songs in new chamber music arrangements. Following acclaimed performances with Max Mutzke, Stefanie Heinzmann and Joy Denalane, MIKI is this time bringing Joris onto the stage of the Robert Schumann Hall. The expressive singer-songwriter stormed the German charts in 2015 with his single “Herz über Kopf” and has received numerous awards, including for his debut album “Hoffnungslos Hoffnungsvoll”. You can look forward to an extraordinary encounter – moving, intimate and inspiring.
