Patrizia Casagranda, an artist from Krefeld, winner of the 2025 Rome Biennale and a participant in this year’s Venice Biennale, is exhibiting at St John’s Church.
Patrizia Casagranda, an artist from Krefeld, creates sculptural dot paintings on recycled materials. Her works combine collage, painting, stencil techniques and typography to form multi-layered portraits. Working primarily in series, she develops visual worlds exploring themes such as empowerment, belief and hope. She also draws inspiration from the works of Banksy, with whom she exhibited in Italy in 2025 as part of the ‘Banksy and Friends’ exhibition. The focus is on women from diverse walks of life, whose stories speak of vulnerability, dignity, strength and human presence. This polyphonic sense of connection fosters resonance rather than uniformity and, through art, opens up a space for encounter and dialogue. This exhibition invites visitors to experience this.
An art project in collaboration with the Art and Church Advisory Board of the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland.
Exhibition dates: 25 September to 8 November 2026
