Art and craft come together in the exhibition organised by Angewandte Kunst Düsseldorf e.V. at the Theatre Museum. Professional designers present works that blend tradition, an awareness of materials and contemporary expression.
At the city’s Theatre Museum, Jägerhofstraße 1, the Düsseldorf Applied Arts Group is showcasing its work: professional designers are exhibiting pieces that blend tradition, an awareness of materials and contemporary expression. On display and available for purchase are pieces, each created by a single artist, ranging from contemporary designs to the artists’ own high-quality craftsmanship. The group is characterised by a variety of techniques, creativity and a confident mastery of the individual materials. This diversity is showcased in objects made of ceramics, wood or metal, bespoke jewellery, textile works and much more. The exhibition enters into a dialogue with the museum’s permanent collection.
On 1 and 2 August, from 11.00 to 19.00 on both days, the exhibitors look forward to welcoming numerous visitors. The Theatre Museum is offering free admission to its exhibitions on both days of the event. (Source: S. von Steven)
