Bildspeicher IV - New works in the collection

With the "Academy Gallery - The New Collection", the Academy of Art has created its own public space to collect and exhibit works by teaching artists from the Academy. The gallery serves to preserve the memory of the academy, to promote lasting self-reflection and to set new accents in the city's art scene.

The Akademie-Galerie's collection consists of paintings, sculptures, photographs, videos and installations as well as graphic art and hand drawings.
With the exhibition "Bildspeicher IV", the Akademie-Galerie presents the first part of the new donations by current teachers, supplemented with works by recently retired art professors.

Works by Tomma Abts, Ed Adkins, Maximiliane Baumgartner, Nina Canell, Danica Dakic, Donatella Fioretti, Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster, Ellen Gronemeyer, Eberhard Havekost, Kati Heck, Georg Herold, Gereon Krebber, Thomas Kröger, Lena Newton, Marcel Odenbach, Albert Oehlen, Peter Piller, Thomas Scheibitz and Gregor Schneider will be on display.
