Blue are back - and the phenomenon surrounding the British boyband is bigger than ever. After more than two decades in the music business, the four Londoners are making a real comeback: hits such as "All Rise" and "One Love" are winning over a whole new generation of fans thanks to social media, while loyal followers are also celebrating the band on sold-out tours across Europe. With their upcoming 25th anniversary, Blue are not only releasing a new studio album ("Reflections" - release date: 09 January 2026), but also a tour that will take them to Germany in 2026.
The British boyband Blue - consisting of Antony Costa, Duncan James, Lee Ryan and Simon Webbe - is currently experiencing a remarkable revival that demonstrates their extraordinary longevity on the international music scene. Since their formation in London and their first hit "All Rise" in 2001, the four musicians have built an impressive career that continues to this day. With over 16 million records sold worldwide, ten top 10 singles in the UK and three number 1 albums, Blue are one of the most successful British bands of their generation. Their success has been recognised with prestigious awards such as the Brit Awards and MTV Asia Awards. Of particular note are their collaborations with music legends such as Elton John and Stevie Wonder, which emphasise the band's high standing in the industry. Blue's repertoire includes numerous unforgettable hits, including "One Love", "U Make Me Wanna" and "Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word", which have all become classics of the 2000s and are also very popular with younger listeners today. This is particularly evident on the hugely successful Greatest Hits tour, which began in the UK with three sold-out shows at the prestigious London Palladium and continued with a completely sold-out arena tour in Italy. Since then, the band has performed throughout Europe, the Middle East and Asia. The timeless quality of their music is clearly demonstrated by the continued success of their hits, which have become a viral phenomenon on social media thanks to a new generation of fans around the world. Blue has skilfully adapted to the digital era and has become present on Instagram and TikTok through reinterpreted videos of her greatest hits, which have already generated tens of millions of views. Looking ahead to 2026, when Blue will be celebrating their 25th anniversary, the band is working on a special anniversary programme that will include both a new studio album and an extensive tour, with which the four musicians will pay tribute to their extraordinary career while setting new musical accents. Blue's enduring popularity and ability to inspire across generations make them one of the most enduring acts in British pop music. (Source: Concert Team NRW)
