Bullet for My Valentine – Social Apocalypse 2027

‘Social Apocalypse’ is the band’s first new song in four years. In the title track, Matt Tuck rails against “the end of the world as we know it”, at a time when “all hope has faded”. The accompanying music video for the title track ‘Social Apocalypse’ can be found HERE.

Thematically, ‘Social Apocalypse’ combines the unflinching lyrical self-reflection of people who have been scarred and worn down by the modern world with an unbiased view of a planet that seems to be falling further and further apart with every turn. “Everything in life is changing at such a rapid pace, and it is hard to find much positivity when you look at events in the world,” says Tuck. “People are being pitted against one another. The world is full of conflict rather than unity. As a father, I look at what the world is like for younger people, and how completely different it is now.”

Once again, the band collaborated with producer Carl Bown – a veteran of four Bullet albums, who has also worked with Sleep Token, While She Sleeps, Malevolence and other bands. Every new track on the album was meticulously scrutinised, refined and perfected until it reached its flawless final form. “Carl doesn’t let you settle,” explains Tuck. “He’s always ready to speak up, push you and challenge you to be the best version of yourself.”

Social Apocalypse features two collaborations – a rarity for Bullet For My Valentine – which lend the album an exciting new dynamic. Chrissy Costanza, lead singer of Against The Current, can be heard as a duet partner on the track “In The Absence Of You”. Will Ramos of Lorna Shore also provides a spine-tingling moment with his distinctive vocals on “I Don’t Trust Tomorrow”. (Source: Mitsubishi Electric HALLE)
