Under the title ‘Morgenlicht leuchtet!’, the ‘Aufwind’ choir, conducted by Feliks Sokol, is returning to our foundation with a new programme.
The soloist Oleksii Hrebeniuk is also back with his fresh violin sounds.
The month of November can sometimes really put our spirits to the test. Too much drizzle, too little sun, and before you know it, you can hardly bring yourself to step outside. The November blues creep in.
But fortunately, there’s music. It has been proven to influence all our emotions. The violinist achieves this through notes and sounds alone. The choir brings you gospel, sacred songs and pop songs on the themes of friendship and love, romance and peace. It exudes joyful praise of God and pure zest for life, and aims to take the audience with it – out into the light!
Incidentally, ‘Morgenlicht leuchtet’ is the German hymnbook version of the Gaelic folk song made famous by Cat Stevens as ‘Morning Has Broken’. (Source: Gerhart-Hauptmann-Haus)
