The Düsseldorf Cologne Open Galleries (DC Open) are taking place for the eighteenth time this year.
In September, fifty galleries will present the year’s exhibition highlights. With the start of the autumn art season – organised jointly by galleries from Düsseldorf and Cologne – the Rhineland once again becomes the centre of contemporary art events. Now in its twelfth year, the DC Open has established a renowned programme of curator- and collector-led tours both at home and abroad.
The DC Open is both a weekend for art lovers and an international meeting place for professional artists. After sixteen years, the DC Open demonstrates that the Rhineland is stronger than ever: fifty galleries, a long-established and liberal community of collectors, the diversity and number of significant museums and institutions, as well as vibrant off-spaces, all contribute to the reputation of this art region.
