Whether an uninhibited show-off or an introverted eccentric, celebrated or a failure. Actors must be able to balance with one foot over the financial abyss whilst prancing down the red carpet with the other. They can do a bit of everything, but nothing properly. And woe betide them if, in real life, they aren’t quite as their audience would like them to be. The myths surrounding this profession are as numerous as the stars on Hollywood’s famous Walk of Fame. Stefan Wilkening and Johann von Bülow tell, sing and act out stories from the world of theatre and film. The outstanding accordionist Maria Reiter provides expressive musical accompaniment.
